Rudy Scherer came to this country as a young man, from Germany. As a retired bricklayer today, he has always loved to work with his hands. He started out by making fine furniture, tables, grandfather clocks and so much more. He began wood turning 25 years ago.He has a great passion for wood turning and has made it a full time hobby. He finds it very intringuing. The woodturnings really bring out the artist in him. Rudy's passion had taken a new turn, when he read about wood turners turning alabaster. I hope everyone enjoys his work, for very few have seen it. Rudy lives in Munster In with is wife, Marianne of 50 years and has a son Michael and a daughter Rose.
